The Testing Laboratory is a structural subdivision of the Public Institution „Central testing laboratory of alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages and canned products” (I.P. „LCTBANPC”)
The lab performs laboratory tests in two localities:
- Chisinau, Grenoble street, 128U (testing of wine products, alcoholic beverages, non-alcoholic beverages, ethyl alcohol, beer),
- Chisinau, Uzinelor street, 19 (testing of canned foods),
The laboratory is accredited by the I.P. „National Accreditation Center of the Republic of Moldova” (MOLDAC) and meets the requirements of the SM EN ISO/CEI 17025:2018 „General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories”. The competence of the Laboratory is confirmed by obtaining the Accreditation Certificate.
Most quality and safety characteristics are determined by modern automated equipment and highly qualified personnel. The quality management system of the Laboratory ensures the validity of the results issued through internal audits and other procedures for monitoring its performances, guaranteed and by external oversight audits by the MOLDAC evaluators. Laboratory equipment and testing methods are constantly being modernized and automatized.
The quality of the laboratory tests is guaranteed by proficiency tests and interlaboratory comparisions (PT/ILC) at international level with positive results. During the last 10 years, the Laboratory participates in the PT schemes organized by BIPEA (Bureau InterProfessionnel d’Etudes Analytiques) for most of the main characteristics for wine, spirits and grape juice. The Laboratory also participates in the PT organized by BelGIM (Belarus State Institute of Metrology) for determining the activity of radionuclides in food and agricultural raw materials.
A professional team consisting of 27 specialists is working at the Laboratory. All personal is graduated in the field of chemistry, winemaking or food technology, including 2 PhD degree holders and 12 authorized tasters.

NOTE: Accreditation has been suspended for the determination of mercury by the flameless atomic absorption spectrometry method in fish and fish products, non-alcoholic beverages and other foodstuffs (annex 2, section 9.1).
